What you’ll gain

  • Methods for achieving round, symmetrical vessels

  • Clear troubleshooting for common wheel-throwing issues (centering, collapsing, uneven walls, trimming)

  • One-to-one coaching, live demonstrations and targeted feedback during practice

What’s provided

  • Pottery wheels, tools and full studio equipment

  • Stoneware clay and artist-developed specialty glazes

  • Firing included for 1–3 finished pieces (up to 2 kg clay per participant)

  • Additional clay, glaze or firings available for an extra fee

  • Light snacks to keep energy up and studio kōrero encouraged

Skill level

Suitable for beginners who have tried basic centering, and intermediate potters wanting to refine taller forms and improve consistency.

Class size

Maximum five participants to ensure plenty of hands-on time and personalised instruction.

  • Cancel up to two weeks before the workshop for a refund minus a $25 administration fee
